Sitting here this evening in front of the woodstove, I find myself reflecting on this past year at the flower farm. Closing the stand the other day was bittersweet, but also a moment to pause and appreciate what a wonderful year it has been.
It’s been a season of growth, change, and beautiful moments that have made this year truly special. From the first bloom of spring to the last leaf falling in autumn, the farm has been alive with color, life, and new experiences.
The year began with planning for the season ahead—ordering seeds and preparing for what was to come. By the end of February, soil blocking began, and before long, the first sprouts started to appear.
In April, I began to see the tulips and daffodils peeking through, making their way into the world as we moved through the month. By May, the peonies had budded and began to reveal their stunning beauty, with more being added each year. The perennial gardens grew greener and lusher with every passing day.
June brought warmer soil, and with it, the planting of zinnias, sunflowers, and so many more seeds. Each morning, I woke up earlier and earlier to ensure I could bring the most beautiful blooms of the day to the stand.
By July and August, the flower farm was bursting with color. The daylilies were putting on their best show, and the dahlias were more stunning than ever. As we moved into September, the blooms continued to impress.
Late September and October brought the beauty of chrysanthemums, and the succession-planted sunflowers and zinnias were in full swing. By then, our flower drying had already begun months ago, and we were excited to share dried arrangements. Late November saw a shift to greens, creating holiday beauty that added joy to the season.
Flower farming comes with long hours and hard work, but the rewards—seeing the happiness and joy the flowers bring into each person’s life—make it all worthwhile. Thank you all for being a part of this journey with me. Below, you’ll find a video showcasing some of the most beautiful blooms of the year.
In celebration of the season, I've opened up more subscriptions for Tulip, Summer, and Fall. With each purchase, I am including a $15 gift card as a small token of my gratitude.
Although the stand is closed for the winter months, I am always happy to create for you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m also planning a pop-up Valentine’s Day sale, so stay tuned for more details as the time approaches.
Thank you again for your continued support, and I wish you all a Happy New Year!

You the best!
Happy New Year!
