We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! It's hard to believe the New Year is right around the corner, and with that said, today marks only 80 days until spring! While winter can feel long, I truly embrace all the seasons, and there’s always beauty to be found in the quiet of winter.
A dear friend gifted me a wonderful book for Christmas, and I’ve found it incredibly inspiring. Lately, I’ve been walking through the yard and along the woods line, discovering all sorts of treasures. This book is full of creative ideas to make something beautiful from the things we find in our own backyards. As I begin to create, I’ll be sure to share some photos with you!
Winter is also a time to rest, reflect, and plan. For me, journaling is one of my favorite ways to unwind. Another very thoughtful friend gave me a journal, and I’ve already started writing in it—it was the perfect gift!
There are so many ways to embrace winter. I love the freedom of not feeling guilty about missing a sunny, warm day. While we haven’t had much snow yet, I look forward to the fun of building a snowman and sledding with my grandson. Even my husband enjoys joining in the fun! The walk I took the other day felt so rejuvenating—the fresh air was simply perfect. My husband and I have always loved skiing, but after major surgery a year and a half ago, I’ve had some reservations about getting back out there. However, I choose to focus on the positive and refuse to be discouraged. I know there are countless wonderful opportunities to explore right in my own backyard while enjoying the beauty of God’s creation!
The flower farm is still quiet for now, but it’s a peaceful time of rest. The seed ordering has begun, and it’s always such an exciting process. Every year, I find something new to grow and discover something I’ll never plant again. I’m keeping the 2025 flower subscriptions open a little longer. I’ve been busy sending out notes and gift certificates to those who’ve already purchased them. A heartfelt thank you for your continued support!
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead! If you have just a few minutes, I hope you can join me in embracing the winter season, knowing that spring is only 80 days away!
