From a Small Table to Seasons of Hope

I’m not sure how many of you read last week’s blog, but it was one that came straight from the heart. Writing it reminded me why sharing these pieces of my life and this little farm matters so much — because the seasons we walk through, even the hard ones, shape us in meaningful ways.

Today, as I brought up our amaryllis and added a touch of holiday décor, I took a step back and looked at my little roadside stand — the way it shifts with each season — and I couldn’t help but think about where it all began.

Just a thought… and a small pallet table my husband built and set out on the side of the road. Hard work, hope, and a dream that felt bigger than the space I had.

From that humble pallet table to the stand it is today — here we are, heading into our 4th year and our 3rd holiday season. I never imagined it would grow into something so meaningful.

These past few weeks have reminded me how much life can shift — in big ways and in quiet ones. Losing a friend, feeling the weight of long days, and moving through the change of the seasons has made me slow down and reflect. But it’s also reminded me of the good that continues to grow all around us.

And that’s the part I’ve been holding onto:

Every season has its challenges… but every season also brings something beautiful.

Even on the days when I feel tired or stretched thin, I’m reminded that this farm was built — little by little — through moments just like these. Not perfect ones. Not easy ones. Just real ones.

When I look back at photos from the early days — that pallet table under a canopy, a handful of pumpkins and flowers scattered across the boards — and then look at the stand today, filled with handmade things and colors and care… it stops me in my tracks.

Not because it’s fancy. Not because it’s big .But because it’s proof that quiet beginnings can grow into something meaningful when you keep tending them.

This little stand has grown right along with me.

I know so many people are walking through changes, losses, new beginnings, or quiet battles that don’t always show. If that’s you, I hope this space — this farm, these flowers, these simple posts — brings you a little comfort and a reminder that you aren’t alone.

We all have seasons that soften us… and seasons that help us rise again.

To those who have been here since the beginning — when it was just a small table on the roadside — thank you. You helped build this dream from the ground up.

And to those who are new here — who found the stand recently, followed along, or stopped by for the first time — I’m grateful for you too. Your kindness, your visits, and your support are woven into the heart of this place.

As we move into a new season at the farm, my hope is that it brings light to your days and warmth to your home — the same way this little stand continues to bring light to mine.

Just like the flowers, I’m learning to rise again, even after the hardest weather.

With gratitude and hope,

Kelly
