January at the Flower Farm

January has arrived. Things have been quiet here at the flower farm, and I’ve been using the time to catch up on books that have been half read or never started. Every morning and evening, the animals snuggle up while I enjoy my morning coffee or evening tea.

My husband retired in December, so we’ve had the chance to relax and catch up on small projects around the farm. The daily cribbage challenges have been a lot of fun, and my houseplants are certainly enjoying the extra attention. Most importantly, I’ve had time to rest and recharge.

Seeds are starting to arrive, and plans for the upcoming season are coming together! I am super excited as our many Ranunculus corms are here!! I’ve included a photo below of a single beautiful bloom from last season. I have been testing growing Ranunculus over the last few years and I think I finally have it figured it out!

As I was looking back at photos from last season, I couldn't help but smile at how beautiful the blooms were! I'm beyond thrilled to have added the subscription bouquets this year, and I've added more subscriptions for spring, summer, and fall. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has already purchased a subscription.
